Baptism Sunday April 12
On Sunday, April 12, the Sunday after Easter, we’re gathering for a special All Gathering as we celebrate together new life in Christ through baptism.
Baptism is our public confession of faith in Jesus and our identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. In baptism, we commit to follow Jesus, renounce Satan and his empty promises, and affirm the power of Christ’s resurrection in us through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” Matthew 28:19
Baptism Class (TBA)
We’ll host a baptism class sometime in March for anyone planning to be baptized on April 12. Dates will be announced shortly.
Can children be baptized?
We practice baptism for those who personally believe in Christ. For children, baptism is appropriate when there’s evidence of a genuine relationship with God and an age-appropriate understanding of trusting Jesus. The timing will vary by child, and we trust the discernment of parents along with House Church community affirmation.
