  • Next All Gathering: 4:30 PM Sunday, June 1st  at Westside Church (7300 Stockdale Hwy) for our regular rhythm of worship, prayer, and teaching and taking the Bread & Cup as House Church communities. 

    As always, we look forward to spending time as a community around the table after our gathering. We'll be in the gym for the meal that evening. Please feel welcome to stick around for dinner and enjoy some tacos🌮! ($5 per person, with a max of $20 per family to help cover costs).

  • The Tuesday Night Ministry meets every Tuesday evening outdoors on the grounds of The Mission at Kern County, 816 East 21st Street. This ministry began over 30 years ago at one church, but God has turned it into a Body of Christ ministry with multiple churches and groups involved. A short message begins at 6:30 PM with dinner set up and serving beginning at 7:00 PM. Everyone is invited to serve, including families with children. We are also looking for those called to do worship from 6:00-6:30 PM on those evenings.

    Be aware that we will be outdoors from 6:30-8:00 PM, so dress accordingly.

  • You’re invited to a house show concert with artist Andy Squyres hosted at The Burch home on June 17th from 7:00-9:00 PM!

    Andy is a singer-songwriter born and raised in the mountains of Northern California but after moving east in the late 1990’s, he’s spent the last few decades carving songs out of the foothills of his North Carolina home. Heavily influenced by the poetics of Leonard Cohen, Squyres leans heavily into the lyrical tradition of artists like Bob Dylan, The National, and John Mark McMillan, having a passion for words that are equally worshipful and honest.

What an incredible Eastertide season we’ve shared together! We’ve raised palms in anticipation, celebrated resurrection hope, and rejoiced with those stepping into new life through baptism. We love the story God is writing in our midst.
This Sunday, April 27 at 4:30 PM at Westside Church We’re celebrating new life in Jesus as several in our community are baptized. Can’t wait to gather, worship, and rejoice together.

Palm Sunday Hike — April 13 at 10:00 AM 
We’re beginning Holy Week with a short, reflective hike at Wind Wolves Preserve. As we walk, we’ll remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and pause to reflect on the kind of King He is.
A lot is happening this April at River & Way. We’ll celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter, witness baptisms, take a hike to remember His triumphal entry on Palm Sunday, and gather before returning to our regular House Church rhythm
