  • Next All Gathering: 4:30 PM Sunday, June 7th at Westside Church (7300 Stockdale Hwy) for our regular rhythm of worship, prayer, and teaching and taking the Bread & Cup as House Church communities.

    As always, we look forward to spending time as a community around the table after our gathering. We'll be in the gym for the meal that evening. Please feel welcome to stick around for dinner and enjoy some tacos🌮! ($7 per person, with a max of $25 per family to help cover costs).

  • River & Way Student Group will continue through the summer on the second Wednesday of each month. This is a space for our students to get to know one another, build community, and follow the way of Jesus together.

    Our next Student Group gathering is Wednesday, June 10, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, location TBA. INCOMING 7TH GRADERS ARE INVITED TO JOIN US THIS MONTH! 

    Please let us know if your student is coming by texting Chris Braaten at (661) 979-9170 so we can plan for food and give our the place we’re meeting. 

  • River & Way Student Group is heading to Buena Vista Lake for a Lake Day!

    It will be a fun day of boating, tubing, and hanging out together. Students in 7th through 12th grade are invited to join us, including incoming 7th graders.

    We will set up a day camp near the Jet Ski Ramp. Look for the River & Way sign when you arrive.

    There is no cost for students, and lunch will be provided. Please have your student bring a swimsuit and a towel.

  • The Tuesday Night Ministry meets every Tuesday evening outdoors on the grounds of The Mission at Kern County, 816 East 21st Street. This ministry began over 30 years ago at one church, but God has turned it into a Body of Christ ministry with multiple churches and groups involved. A short message begins at 6:30 PM with dinner set up and serving beginning at 7:00 PM. Everyone is invited to serve, including families with children. We are also looking for those called to do worship from 6:00-6:30 PM on those evenings.

    Be aware that we will be outdoors from 6:30-8:00 PM, so dress accordingly.

  • River & Way is planning a Family Carpinteria Trip from October 30 to November 1 at Carpinteria State Beach. 

    We have group sites reserved, and families are invited to sign up if they are interested in joining us. This is always a fun weekend together, with a beach day on Saturday, a shared meal on Saturday evening, and trick-or-treating throughout the campsite.

    The cost will be around $40 to $55 per night for the whole family, depending on the site.
