Can you believe it's already been a full year? Jesus has been so kind to our young community, and we have much to be thankful for! We are celebrating after the gathering on Sunday, April 3rd from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. We’ll gather in the upper parking structure behind The Tower. Tacos will be provided for lunch and bounce houses will be there for the kids! Hope to see you there!

We are entering “year two” of life as a new Jesus community that is praying, dreaming, and pursuing the inbreaking Kingdom of God in the city of Bakersfield. Behind the scenes there has been a faithful crew of people who said “yes” to launching, serving, and shaping the direction of our community in her first year.
As the first year wraps up, we are opening the invitation for you to join “Launch Team Year 2.” Launch Team is a year-long commitment to care for the needs of River & Way through service, prepare the soil for what is to come, and steward what God has invited our community into for this next year.
Launch team is a year-long commitment, regularly serving and meeting together for a community dinner on the last Sunday of the month. Like watering a planted seed, we see the launch team helping shape culture, discipleship and addressing the needs of River & Way in year two.

On May 8th, we invite parent(s) to dedicate their children to Jesus as part of our Sunday gathering. In the same way that Mary and Joseph presented Jesus to the Lord in Luke 2:22-23, this will be a sacred moment for parents to commit to one another and our community to raise their children in the way of Jesus. If you are interested in dedicating your child, please fill out the quick form below.
We will be meeting briefly for those dedicating their child following the gathering on May 1st from 11:40 AM - 12:00 PM.
